Position Type

This is a volunteer board position. There is no guaranteed pay at this time. As the foundation grows and funding allows, future compensation or stipends may be considered based on the work being performed, available funding, and board approval.

Commitment

The Volunteer Board Secretary should be able to commit to approximately 5 volunteer hours per week. This may include attending meetings, preparing notes, organizing paperwork, helping with board communication, reviewing documents, and supporting foundation planning.

Key Responsibilities

The Volunteer Board Secretary may assist with:

• Taking meeting notes and preparing meeting minutes
• Keeping board records and documents organized
• Helping prepare agendas, forms, notices, and sign-in sheets
• Tracking board votes, approvals, and official decisions
• Maintaining copies of important foundation paperwork
• Supporting communication between board members
• Helping with volunteer records, event documents, and internal files
• Assisting with annual reports, compliance reminders, and meeting follow-ups
• Making sure important deadlines and action items are documented

This role is best for someone who is organized, reliable, professional, and comfortable handling documents and communication. The person should be willing to work as part of a team and help support the mission of creating more autism-friendly resources, events, and community support.

The Volunteer Director of Ally Food & Hospitality helps Autism Ally Foundation create a welcoming, organized, and family-friendly experience at our events. This role supports the planning, setup, serving, and coordination of food, refreshments, hospitality tables, concessions, and guest comfort areas during foundation events.

Commitment

The Volunteer Director of Food & Hospitality should be able to commit approximately 5 volunteer hours per week, with additional availability needed during major events, fundraisers, pop-up events, and community outreach days.

Key Responsibilities

The Volunteer Director of Food & Hospitality may assist with:

• Planning food, drink, snack, and concession needs for events
• Coordinating hospitality tables, serving areas, and guest refreshment stations
• Helping create menus, supply lists, and shopping lists
• Tracking food donations, vendor support, and sponsor contributions
• Organizing volunteers assigned to food service or hospitality areas
• Helping set up, maintain, and clean food and refreshment areas
• Making sure food areas remain safe, clean, and family-friendly
• Supporting allergy awareness, food labeling, and safe serving practices
• Assisting with fundraiser food sales, concession planning, and event hospitality
• Helping make guests, families, volunteers, sponsors, and performers feel welcomed

The Volunteer Director of Ally Family & Clinical Programs helps Autism Ally Foundation support families by assisting with program planning, resource development, family engagement, and autism-friendly support initiatives. This role helps connect the foundation’s mission to real family needs by supporting events, resource programs, community partnerships, and family-centered services.

Key Responsibilities

The Volunteer Director of Family & Clinical Programs may assist with:

• Helping develop family support programs and autism-friendly initiatives
• Assisting with resource guides, family intake forms, and support referrals
• Helping identify family needs related to autism services, therapies, education, and community support
• Supporting event planning from a family-centered and sensory-friendly perspective
• Assisting with parent communication, family follow-ups, and resource connections
• Helping coordinate workshops, trainings, and informational sessions
• Supporting the development of clinical program ideas, partnerships, and service referrals
• Helping review event accommodations, sensory needs, accessibility, and safety considerations
• Working with community providers, therapists, educators, and family support organizations
• Helping make sure programs remain inclusive, respectful, and supportive for families at every stage

Ideal Candidate

This role is best for someone who is compassionate, organized, dependable, and comfortable working with families, children, caregivers, providers, and community partners. Experience in autism support, healthcare, education, therapy, social work, case management, family advocacy, or disability services is helpful but not required.
