The Volunteer Director of Ally Family & Clinical Programs helps Autism Ally Foundation support families by assisting with program planning, resource development, family engagement, and autism-friendly support initiatives. This role helps connect the foundation’s mission to real family needs by supporting events, resource programs, community partnerships, and family-centered services.
Position Type
This is a volunteer leadership position. There is no guaranteed pay at this time. As the foundation grows and funding allows, future compensation or stipends may be considered based on the work being performed, available funding, and board approval.
Commitment
The Volunteer Director of Family & Clinical Programs should be able to commit approximately 5 volunteer hours per week, with additional availability needed during major events, resource days, trainings, outreach activities, and family support programs.
Key Responsibilities
The Volunteer Director of Family & Clinical Programs may assist with:

Helping develop family support programs and autism-friendly initiatives

Assisting with resource guides, family intake forms, and support referrals

Helping identify family needs related to autism services, therapies, education, and community support

Supporting event planning from a family-centered and sensory-friendly perspective

Assisting with parent communication, family follow-ups, and resource connections

Helping coordinate workshops, trainings, and informational sessions

Supporting the development of clinical program ideas, partnerships, and service referrals

Helping review event accommodations, sensory needs, accessibility, and safety considerations

Working with community providers, therapists, educators, and family support organizations

Helping make sure programs remain inclusive, respectful, and supportive for families at every stage
Ideal Candidate
This role is best for someone who is compassionate, organized, dependable, and comfortable working with families, children, caregivers, providers, and community partners. Experience in autism support, healthcare, education, therapy, social work, case management, family advocacy, or disability services is helpful but not required.
